Bay Area Rehabilitation Center (the Center) has been making a difference to thousands of children and adults with disabilities in Baytown and the surrounding East Houston communities since we began operations in 1948.  From providing quality outpatient occupational, physical, speech therapy and worker rehabilitation services to providing the community with Patsy's Destiny Wheelchair Accessible Nature Trail and Playground, the Center has a distinguished record of success in  making disabilities become possibilities in Baytown and the surrounding east Houston communities.

In May of 2007, the Baytown Opportunity Center (Opportunity Center) operations were merged into the operations of Bay Area Rehabilitation Center.  This merger provides the opportunity for the Center to provide the community with vocational rehabilitation services.

Our Mission
Our Mission is to provide outpatient therapeutic, vocational, social skill training and recreational services for persons with disabilities or injuries and support services for their families.  The Center also seeks to advocate for and work to provide accessible  and affordable housing for this population.
