The playground was built by hundreds of volunteers and continues to be supported by the Baytown community.

Open to the CommunityPatsy’s Destiny is open to the public during daylight hours and welcomes children, families, and individuals of all abilities to enjoy a safe and inclusive outdoor environment.

Outdoor Safety TipsTo help protect visitors while enjoying the playground:
  • Avoid peak sun hours when possible
  • Use SPF 30 or higher sunscreen
  • Wear hats and UV-protective sunglasses
  • Stay hydrated and take breaks in shaded areas

Expanding Patsy’s DestinyAs part of Bay Area Rehabilitation Center’s continued growth, a multi-phase expansion project is underway to enhance accessibility and create new opportunities for recreation and wellness.
Planned improvements include:
  • Additional accessible playground equipment
  • Improved playground surfaces and fall zones
  • A shaded play area
  • A wheelchair-accessible fitness trail
  • Outdoor exercise stations
